“PLUG Independent Music Awards”
By: Rustycat | in: Music |Since we’ve named our blog The Plugg it’s only fair that we talk about the biggest event of the independent music world “The Plug Music Awards”.
“The Plug Indie Music Awards” are a different breed of music awards. They pride themselves in being there for all those indie artists that the mainstream music industry has neglected through the years. So all year round, the team of Writers, Dj’s, Webmasters, Artists, Filmmakers, Managers, indie Retailers and such, join hands to make and trade mixtapes, surf and post blogs, swap MP3s and squeeze into cramped venues for the search of the hottest and most deserving indie bands out there.
This year’s event will be held at the New York Irving Plaza on the 10th of February. Confirmed guests include Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Silversun Pickups, El-P, Deerhoof and Tokyo Police Club. David Cross will present the show.
You can log on to the Plug Awards website and lend a hand to the cause by casting your vote for some or all of the categories.
