After several months of successful “socialcasts”, DeepRockDrive has its public launch today, coinciding with the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

DeepRockDrive.com is an online concert venue created by Danny Socolof, a veteran music marketer, and Jeff Henshaw, formerly on the X-Box team at Microsoft. With it’s own private soundstage in Las Vegas, DeepRockDrive films live performances and streams them to online users who pay $7 per show for what DeepRockDrive calls “socialcasts”. During the performance, viewers can select from one of five HD camera angles and can request specific songs and ask questions via an online message board, which appears on a large screen next to the band as they perform.

Artists are chosen to perform through an online, user-voting system with a minimum of 1000 votes in order to participate. Bands can drum up support from their fan base with digital posters and on their websites and MySpace pages. Proceeds from the socialcasts are split between DeepRockDrive and the artist.

With approximately $3 million in angel funding, DeepRockDrive hopes to create a popular new genre of user-directed interactive live music, with ambitious plans to film more than a hundred shows in 2008 with free promotional shows every Friday.

    Hi there,
I found your blog on the blog catalog.
We have hundreds of clients that would be willing to pay bloggers such as yourself for a blog post about their site with a backlink.

I was wondering if you are willing to accept payment for a blog post with a keyword link to one of our client’s pages we specify? We’re talking about a blog post of around 50 words or so.

If so, we would pay you cash, and this could be a very lucrative deal for you going forward, since we have a lot of clients with deep pockets.

Let me know if you have any interest.

    Thanks,
    Ron Isaiah

Only if you can pay us in gold. We would like to receive a small pouch of gold for each paragraph we write.
As for back links to your sites, well, the currency for that is diamonds.

I don’t know about Charbarred and the rest of the guys, they’re young and may still believe in “morality” and “standards” but I’m a bit older and am perfectly willing to WHORE MYSELF OUT in plain view of the entire world for pennies on the pound. When you get to grandpa D’s age you don’t have much use for PRIDE anymore, you need MONEY! All these prescription drugs don’t come for free, what about my Lumbago?
