Devon Hynes and his carefully careless coif releases an album that is joyously layered and well-produced. There are some nice rustic-sounding breaks interspersed in his otherwise easy-listening indie sound. Fans of The Dears will instantly liken Devon’s voice Murray Lightburn, and that’s a good thing. Besides, how can you resist a video that opens with Dev serenading a kitten?
