The Mountain Goats are back, and don’t disappoint. The songs are tight, timeless and Darnielle’s narratives (through his familiar nasally delivery) are heartfelt and earnest. The band’s passion is evident in this recording and I frequently found myself nodding my head saying, “Hell ya, that’s how it’s done”. Heretic Pride is not-to-be-missed and a contender for a “Best of 2008″ consideration.
