Now I’ve written about The Presets before so I don’t really get into the details about them… But there is an act that kinda reminds me of them, whose debut, major label single It’s A War has just gone to radio. It’s a bloody great track and is already getting a good deal of play from triple j (national alternative radio station). They had a big hit with TV Rock, The Others last year so it’s good to see them giving it a red hot go on their own.

On another note, the winner of The Amp 2007 has been announced and it has been given to The Mess Hall. A great duo that make great rock music. My personal favourites in the Shortlist were the Midnight Juggernauts, Bluejuice, Architecture In Helsinki and The Dardanelles - give those artists a bit of a belting!
