New NIN Album Completely Free!
By: Charbarred | in: Music |
They did it again! The new Nine Inch Nails album The Slip is available on their site completely free of charge. Not only can you download it in MP3, NIN has opted to give you the option to download various lossless formats including WAV which is basically better than CD quality.
I’m not sure what the business model is here but I’m assuming they plan to make money off of physical sales, and better yet, gigs and the knowledge that their fanbase loves them. Who wouldn’t? This is another brave move by a band that continues to shake up the music industry.
Is it working? Hell, I was never much of a NIN fan, but ever since they started doing their thing I’ve been listening to them more and more. Granted, the instrumental album wasn’t very impressive, but from what I’m hearing now, The Slip is their best offering to date.

This is a pretty strong album. In fact, since [WITH_TEETH] Reznor’s been on a real tear.
Solid album. Letting You, Head Down, Corona Radiata, and Echoplex are my current faves.
It’s well worth the download.
‘Letting You’ may be the best song on the album.
Not impressed. Oh, Trent when will you ever get your shit together ?
I will only d/l this because of who it is. The last thing he did “Ghosts” or whatever, sucked balls. I mean it was a veritable slurp-fest of ball sucking. I hope this is better.
Agreed, Ghosts was the musical equivalent of ball-sweat.
Very impressed, Great album..
