Tanya Morgain is a Rap group… That’s really the name. Check out their Offical Site and go to the biography section for the very interesting and complex story behind that. Their first full length, Moonlighting, was a bit of an underground sleeper, but high on food chain of awesomeness. It’s even being re-released in June. I’m a bit late talking about this one, but it should be said that as an unofficial release, the mixtape they released in mid march is just as good. They bring old school hip hop with brains, and it’s put together by DJ Soul. They are giving away the mix tape as a free download in conjunction with myspace, xm radio, and okayplayer here. Their new EP Bridges is due soon. If you like hip hop like De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, or any others that fit that genre, you owe it to yourself to check this out.
