Bjork - Wanderlust Video
By: Kendall | in: Music |
Bjork has released a new video for her song “Wanderlust”, off of her Volta album. To help bring some sense to the video below, see the below definition from wikipedia:
The first occurrence of the word in English dictionaries is recorded as 1902.[2] In German, the term Wanderlust sounds old-fashioned today to some. To retranslate the English Wanderlust in the sense of “love of travel”, the expression Fernweh (composing of ‘Fern’= ‘far’ and ‘weh’= ‘ache’, compare to ‘Heimweh’=homesickness ‘Heim’=home) is more appropriate.

the following from Freedictionary.com
The video is directed by Encyclopedia Pictura in New York City in stereoscopic 3D and is said to involve “a mixture of large scale puppeteering, live action acrobatics, miniatures, and CG”. It was choreographed by Chris Elam, artistic director of Misnomer Dance, and features Brynne Billingsley and Coco Karol. Its official premiere happened on Yahoo music on March 31.
If you buy the Wanderlust single, it comes with the video in Full 3-D… glasses included! Bjork is no stranger to amazing videos, and this could perhaps be her best. See the 2-D version Below.

God knows I love Bjork, but this song does nothing for me. The video is bizarre as expected, but I don’t feel all that excited either. Maybe I’m just getting old.
Agreed, the video is probably very impressive in 3D, but the song could’ve been better.
Not to belittle this video, which is excellent, but actually my favorite Bjork video was (and remains)Human Behaviour. There’s something unnerving about that monstrous teddy bear marauding through the woods to the sound of kettle drums…
I agree, the song is not my favorite, but the video is sweet. I might by the single just to watch it in 3D.
