Grindhouse: The Trailers

By: DThompson | in: Movies |

The criminally neglected masterpiece Grindhouse contains four trailers that may not make it overseas what with the film being chopped into two movies. All four are extremely entertaining and in their own abbreviated fashion, as accurate a portrayal of low-budget seventies film as the longer features they support.

Machete

First up is Rodriguez’ own Machete, so well received it stands an excellent chance of being made into its own feature.

Next is Rob Zombie’s take on the Ilsa films, Werewolf Women Of The S.S., featuring Udo Kier and Nicholas Cage in roles they were born to play.

In the second half of the feature comes the Lucio Fulci inspired Don’t which I suspect is directed by Tarantino. It’s a beautiful summation of all things Italian and horrifying.

Finally, Eli Roth presents us with his pitch perfect take on holiday-themed horror films, taking on the only holiday left to exploit, Thanksgiving.

In case watching all that Thanksgiving turkey get bled on caused your tummy to rumble a bit there’s also this ad featuring the tempting fare of Acuna Boys Authentic Tex-Mex Food. Yum!

Enjoy your peek at the movie you should’ve gone to see in the theater!

VERDICT: Shame on you!

Thanks for the info Brian! I wasn’t sure who directed Don’t so I assumed Tarantino (and we all know what happens when you assume). I bow (and scrape) to your superior knowledge.
