Introducing Fishhawk
By: Kendall | in: Music |
I mentioned this band in my song of the week about a 10 days ago. I thought I would take a step back and try to re-introduce them a little more properly, to help them garner some of the attention they deserve. Hailing from Atlanta, they have one self produced album under their belts, and a new album entitled Bells Underwater, prepping for release in early 2009. Mixing elements of rock, rap, soul, and hip-hop, they are tough band to nail down, but are certainly an interesting band to take in. It’s likely they have blurred the lines enough that the fan base will be as diverse as their influences. They have no drummer, just an ipod playing tracks and no bass player which makes for an unique stage presence. Below is an interview with the band, and some leaks from the album.
Night Owl
Fading Moonlight
Panic Attack

dig the mish-mash music style……awesome
Dude…I saw this band in concert in Atlanta. They were nuts!! They put on the best local show I have ever been to by far. Amazing stage presence, radical music, stunning lights, and they brought a good crows. If you like music then you will like FishHawk.
I was listening to Panic Attack and was torn for a moment over whether it is good or bad…this is one of those bands a guess where you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. I think I kinda love ‘em.
This band is AMAZING! I saw their show the other night in Marietta, GA. When’s the album coming out??
Finally a breath of fresh water, served with bells!!! Great music, amazing live show (been to 3 shows already) can’t wait to see and hear more!!!
i dig it. i wish they had more buckethead-ish guitar parts. i think they are capable of much more shredding buckethead style. however, despite the lack of buckethead influence it rocks my ears off. my only advice is that maybe they pick up buckethead album and vibe out.
Loveeeee this band! Saw them live twice and it was great! they put on an amazing show and it’s always so much fun!(especially when matt threw cash out to the audience!:P) Really like the new songs-can’t really pick a favorite, but I’m diggin’ panic attack. Can’t wait for the new album!!!
The evolution of the Hawk continues. Make your way through the depths of this foreign sky!
This sounds great! Beautiful melodies, killer beats, excellent guitar, top notch production… what more do you need?
What the hell happened to Night Owl??????? I liked the other version, damnit!
I just saw FishHawk in Orlando a couple days ago and they put on a great show. I can’t wait for the new album to be released! Right now it sounds like June 5th for the release.
