M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening
By: Charbarred | in: Movies |
Despite everyone’s complaints, I’m quite a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan’s movies. Cursed with having to provide a fresh twist in the end of every movie critics have been ignoring the fact that he’s delivered some very original films in the past few years. His latest, The Happening is rumored to be a departure from his usual themes (whatever that means). The end of the world is coming, people are committing suicide left and right and Mark Wahlberg is looking very worried. It does look like a film adaptation of Stephen King’s Cell (it’s not), but I’m quite excited about this one. The film is out June 13. Check out the trailer:

I’m not a huge fan of the earlier films but I think he’s very talented and each time I hope that his next film will be the one that I love. It could still happen
Thank goodness its not an adaptation of cell, that book started of so well but I couldn’t be bothered reading the last quarter as it became mind numbingly boring.
